Press Release Investments in Materiomics

Chemelot Ventures BV, Limburg Business Development Fund BV (LBDF) and the current shareholders have decided to jointly invest €1.4 million in Materiomics BV, located at the Brightlands Maastricht Health Campus. This financing round will be used to develop prototypes of medical devices with a smart surface structure like stents, catheters, breast implants, teeth implants and artificial hips. The smart surface structures will be developed in close cooperation with research institute MERLN at Maastricht University, MUMC+ and industrial partners.
