Successful second CellProfiler basics workshop
After the successful and oversubscribed CellProfiler workshop earlier this year, we decided to have a jointly-led workshop on 7 December.
Seventy five students joined at TU/e, either as part of the Applied Cell Biology course or out of general interest. Another sixty students joined from all over the world, online and both groups were welcomed by Beth Cimini, the leader of the Cimini lab at the Broad Institute in Cambridge, MA and the place where the software was developed. From our end, Minne Dekker, master student in the BiS group, organized the workshop. Based on educational materials provided, the students familiarized themselves with the software and are now able to acquire quantitative data independently. We anticipate to organize a new workshop sometime in spring.
